{"id":1548,"date":"2019-10-07T08:03:12","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T08:03:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.haimangiato.com\/?p=1548"},"modified":"2019-10-07T08:03:12","modified_gmt":"2019-10-07T08:03:12","slug":"plum-marzipan-rose-thyme-tart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.haimangiato.com\/pl\/plum-marzipan-rose-thyme-tart\/","title":{"rendered":"Plum, marzipan, rose &#038; thyme tart"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>1 sheet of french pastry around 250g<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>8-10 plums, deseeded and cut into 4-6 pieces (8 pieces if the plums are really large)<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon of fine sugar<\/li>\n<li>a few tablespoons of rose petal jam<\/li>\n<li>150-200 g of marzipan (almond paste)<\/li>\n<li>a few sprigs of thyme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Start with blind baking the puff pastry.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Roll out the puff pastry (I used a shop bought one) onto the baking parchment and<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>fit it into a round baking tray of 26cm in diameter. There should be some extra pastry around the margins of the tray that is best to fold gently, creating a nice little edge.<\/p>\n<p>Prick the pastry with a fork and bake in the preheated oven at 180 C (temperature for a non fan assisted oven, otherwise set the temperature to 170 C) for around 15 minutes. The pastry should become light golden in colour.<\/p>\n<p>Set aside and wait until it cools down.<\/p>\n<p>Once the pastry has cooled down, slice the marzipan and lay its slices on the pastry case, spreading them evenly and covering the whole surface.<\/p>\n<p>Pluck the leaves from a few thyme sprigs and scatter them on top of the marzipan.<\/p>\n<p>Now tightly arrange the plum pieces starting with the outer circle pressing the plums into the edges.<\/p>\n<p>Brush the plum pieces all over with the jam. In case your jam is very thick, heat it up with a dash of water.
