{"id":1664,"date":"2020-01-30T09:51:44","date_gmt":"2020-01-30T09:51:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.haimangiato.com\/?p=1664"},"modified":"2020-01-30T09:51:44","modified_gmt":"2020-01-30T09:51:44","slug":"cicoria-ripassata-cooked-chicory-flavoured-with-garlic-and-chilli-pepper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.haimangiato.com\/pl\/cicoria-ripassata-cooked-chicory-flavoured-with-garlic-and-chilli-pepper\/","title":{"rendered":"Cicoria Ripassata\/Cooked chicory flavoured with garlic and chilli pepper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>For 4 portions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 kg of chicory<\/li>\n<li>5-6 tablespoon of olive oil plus some extra for drizzling<\/li>\n<li>2 garlic cloves<\/li>\n<li>salt<\/li>\n<li>1 small chilli pepper (optional)*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wash very well the chicory under cold running water and eliminate<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>any grainy residue (sand, soil) and<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>damaged leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil. Place your chicory into the pan and simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until it starts to turn tender.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Drain it well in a colander.<\/p>\n<p>In a large pan heat up the olive oil and add crushed garlic cloves and a half of the chilly pepper if using (you add the whole chilly pepper but be careful, as it can overpower and the dish will turn very hot, *alternatively you can scatter chilly flakes over the finished dish). Gently fry the garlic on both sides browning it ever so slightly.<\/p>\n<p>Add the chicory into the pan and toss well with the olive oil.
