{"id":3672,"date":"2026-01-29T13:49:39","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T13:49:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.haimangiato.com\/?p=3672"},"modified":"2026-01-29T13:49:39","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T13:49:39","slug":"frittelle-di-semolino-semolino-fritters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.haimangiato.com\/pl\/frittelle-di-semolino-semolino-fritters\/","title":{"rendered":"Frittelle di Semolino \/ Semolino Fritters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Makes 25 &#8211; 30 small <em>frittelle<\/em>:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">100 g of semolino flour, sifted<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">500 ml of whole milk<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">40 g of sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">70 g of orange peel, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">grated zest from half an orange<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">3-4 pinches of cinnamon<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">2 large eggs<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">oil for frying, I use peanut oil which has a very mild neutral flavour<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bring the milk to the boil in a medium saucepan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Add the semolino flour and the sugar into the pan and whisk or stir vigorously so there are no lumps. Cook the mixture on a low heat for a further 5-7 minutes stirring all the while. In the meantime add the cinnamon and the grated orange zest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pour the thickened semolino dough into a bowl. Once it has cooled down a little whisk in the eggs and stir in the chopped orange peel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Leave to cool down, about 30 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Heat the oil to about 170 C in a medium saucepan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Once the oil is hot enough spoon generous teaspoons of the batter into the oil.
